  2. Most are shareware, but CEO and IconDLG are retail products.  All of these
  3. products require Windows 3.1.

  10. Program Manager.

  29. ********                 CEO:DESKTOP MANAGER                       ********

  32. Sloop Software is pleased to announce the release of the Windows 3.1
  33. replacement shell, CEO:Desktop Manager.  CEO:Desktop Manager is the 
  34. complete graphical replacement for MS Windows 3.1 Program Manager.  
  35. It offers all the major features of Program Manager plus a host of 
  36. new features.  If you're looking for an easy to use replacement with 
  37. all the features Program Manager should have had, give CEO:Desktop 
  38. Manager a try.  $50

  40. CEO is based on our popular shareware program Sloop Manager.  It can
  41. be used to replace either Folders or Sloop Manager.

  43. CEO's major features include:
  44.  
  45. *Consistent interface throughout.  No need to make use of two
  46. different programs (ie. Folders and ProgMan) for one job.
  47.  
  48. *Create subfolders (subgroups) within folders, allowing you to create
  49. a tree structure of folders and subfolders.
  50.  
  51. *Display items in folders as icons, text (as in File Manager) or as 
  52. buttons (as in a toolbar)(not available in CEO Lite).

  54. *Password protection provided for individual folders or can be used 
  55. to lock people out of Windows completely.

  57. *History menu which tracks the last twelve applications launched 
  58. from any folder.  This allows you to quickly re-launch an 
  59. application you wish to use again after closing it.

  61. *Background color used by a folder can be set on a per folder 
  62. basis.  This allows for color-coding of folders.

  65. *Link to directory capability which allows you to link a folder to 
  66. a directory.  Once linked, the folder will automatically add and 
  67. delete items from the folder as files are created or deleted in the 
  68. directory.  This eliminates the need to manually add new items or

  71. *Add items to folders by dragging files from the File Manager.  
  72. Launch programs by dropping data files onto program icons where 
  73. these icons may either be icons in a folder or icons on the desktop.
  74. Print files by dropping them on Print Manager.

  76. *Use any folder as a startup folder when starting Windows.  
  77. This allows you to start Windows with different startup 
  78. configurations by just using a command line parameter when 
  79. starting Windows.

  82. a folder may be launched at once or only selected items may be 
  83. launched by just hitting the enter key.

  101. Folders adds depth to the Program Manager groups for MS Windows.  It 
  102. gives the ability equivalent to having groups within groups. $29

  107. - Extremely easy to use icon selection capability making use of an icon

  116. - Password protection.  Capable of locking individual folders using a
  117.   password entry scheme.

  119. - Improved associate command.  When running items from a folder, multiple
  120.   programs may be associated with the item's filename extension allowing
  121.   you to choose the program you wish to run.

  124.   also be set to run minimized or maximized and to inquire for a file
  125.   parameter when launched.

  139. settings in WIN.INI and SYSTEM.INI that Microsoft did not see fit to
  140. include in the Control Panel dialogs.  Easily change the colors used
  141. by the Windows help engine in displaying hypertext, the alignment of 
  142. drop down menus, the vertical spacing between icons, the font used to 
  143. display icon titles plus many other settings.  Also, an easy to use 
  144. ini file editor is included as part of More Control.  $12.50

  188. manipulating icons.  Functions are provided to allow the user to

  191. create a cursor from an icon; to resize icons and to write icons to
  192. ico or bmp files plus others.  $150
